I've been meaning to follow up about my BK-on-my-couch story with ya... it only happened because I booked her to play and she happened to be touring, not because I live anywhere cool. But she's very down-to-earth. There aren't many performers who would agree to sleep on a midly obsessive fan's couch in a dorm apartment. I'll stop name-dropping now - don't want you to think I'm like your name-dropping, quilt-hanging dentist. :)

I like your writing style and your quotes. I like to quote movies too, but unfortunately I can never remember the exact thing that the character said, only the gist of it.
Anyway, you asked recently if a bipolar person might compulsively lie. It would be entirely possible, especially if he or she were in a manic state. When a person is manic, he has very poor impulse control. So an impulse to impress someone or just be generally entertaining could turn into a lie. (I was a psyche major in college. Now I am a waitress. It's been a very useful degree.)

Wow, not only a quote this time, but a quote from "Goldfish Don't Talk Back"! I think I'm falling in love.
Seriously, I'm the biggest Brenda Kahn fan. Her music changed my life. She once stayed a whole weekend sleeping on my couch, and it was incredible. I kept saying things to myself like, "Oh my gosh, I'm sharing a bag of Doritos with Brenda Kahn!" and "Oh my, that's Brenda Kahn's hair in my sink." Her lyrics move me to the core.
